Off the Grid may receive your payment information if you provide it to us over the phone to complete transactions. Off the Grid will use commercially reasonable safeguards designed to protect such information if it is collected.

We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide to our subsidiaries and affiliates as well as to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business. Also, we may disclose your information for any purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information, or with your consent.

In addition, we may disclose your personal information to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Off the Grid Travel’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Off the Grid Travel about our Website users is among the assets transferred.

SECTION 4 - THIRD PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Note that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our store’s Website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this privacy policy or our Website’s Terms of Service. When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our Website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Squarespace:

Our store is hosted on Squarespace Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Squarespace’s ability to use or disclose your personal information is governed by their Data Processing Addendum.

Your data is stored through Squarespace’s data storage, databases, and the general Squarespace application. They maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, damage, theft, alteration, or disclosure. These measures are appropriate to the potential harm resulting from such incidents and are suited to the nature of the personal information being protected.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Squarespace and its integrated payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal) collect and store your payment information. This data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete the transaction. After that, your transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS, as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council—a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

For more insight, you may also want to read Squarespace’s Terms of Service or Privacy Policy.
