Hi, I’m Lynette.
I grew up in a tiny West Texas town called Kermit (population 5,600), but I always knew I wanted to see more of the world. So I did—from the streets of New York to the beaches of Rio, the temples of Kyoto to the cafés of Paris—with plenty of adventures in between.
Before becoming a travel advisor, I spent years leading marketing and e-commerce for global brands. The work was exciting, but the real magic happened after the meetings—exploring cities like Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, and Tokyo on my own terms, building lists of tucked-away restaurants, stylish boutique hotels, and can’t-miss experiences.
That spark never left. I’ve always been the planner in my group—the one who loves mapping out the day, obsessing over our schedule, and making sure no one misses out on something amazing. Now, I get to bring that same energy to my clients, designing trips that feel thoughtful, immersive, and unforgettable.
When I plan a trip, I think about all five senses—because the best travel memories aren’t just seen. They’re tasted, felt, heard, and savored long after you get home.
TRAVEL MAD LIBS
My go-to room service order is…
In-room, it’s a Club Sandwich and a Ginger Ale. Poolside, it’s a Caesar Salad with Shrimp, Fries, and an ice-cold Tecate.
A must-have travel accessory I never leave home without…
The essentials: an Anker portable charger, Erewhon hand sanitizer spray, Caudalie Grape Water Mist and my silk eye mask.
One city I could return to a million times:
Lisbon or Kyoto.

The hotel that still lives rent-free in my mind:
K5 Hotel in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi district. The design blew my mind. It gave a modern canopy bed in the best way possible, and the coolest selection of vinyls to play in-room.
Carry-on or checked bag?
I can do two weeks in a carry-on. Compression cubes are clutch.
What I’m watching on a plane…
For laughs, re-watching East Bound and Down. For crying, well, everything makes me cry on a plane.
Favorite local snack I still dream about:
Onigiri from the 7-Elevens all over Japan.

Underrated trip:
A cross-country road trip across the U.S.
How to bookend a trip…
If you’re arriving super early from a red-eye, head straight to the nicest spa your budget allows to ease into vacation mode. At the tail end, I like to save the nicest hotel (if logistics allow) and go out for a splurge meal — my own personal “Last Supper.”
One thing I always do before I go:
Build out a Google Map with all my points of interest so everything’s organized once I land.

Favorite hotel souvenir?
I’ve been known to sneak a well-designed room key card to use as a bookmark.
My fave hotel bar and what I’m ordering:
King Cole Bar in NYC or The Tower Bar in LA and I’m sipping a Belvedere martini - very dry, shaken til icy with a blue cheese stuffed olive.
A hotel design detail that gets me every time:
Great lighting fixtures and colorful rugs. And lots of hooks!

Places I’m currently dreaming about:
Easter Island (Rapa Nui, officially, in Chile), Svalbard (the northernmost inhabited place on Earth, in Norway), and Sylt (the Martha’s Vineyard of Germany). I have a thing for islands. I’d also love to take the Belmond train through Scotland and visit the Briones region in Rioja, Spain.
Best advice to clients:
Don’t overschedule your days. One to two activities or reservations max per day—otherwise, it starts to feel like work.
One place I’ll never stop recommending:
The Azores Islands off the coast of Portugal and a mere 5 hours from NYC.
